Meet Glassifier 🪞

The pursuit of smooth, hydrated, radiant skin has brought increasing attention to Korean skincare and the concept of glass skin.

I’m always researching new treatments, products and ingredients to help achieve beautiful skin rather than just a temporary glow.

Supporting skin health, clinical evidence, safety and choosing treatments that are worth the money are all my absolute priority.

Recently I had the opportunity to try Glassifier by IDENEL. An innovative professional skin treatment combining microscopic bio-spicule technology with advanced peptides and carefully selected skincare ingredients.

I sat there that evening, making  mental list of all my clients that I know would LOVE the sensation I was feeling on my skin! Hours after treatment!

What is Glassifier?

The product is designed to deliver active ingredients INTO the skin, ALTUM® Peptide combines microscopic, needle-like structures derived from freshwater sponge with peptides.

Unlike traditional microneedling, Glassifier does not require a mechanical needling device to create channels in the skin.

Instead, bio-spicules are applied directly to the skin, where their physical interaction with the superficial layers allows product absorption.

The treatment combines this technology with professional formulations chosen according to individual skin concerns.

The result is a different approach to supporting skin quality without traditional injections.

How does Glassifier work?

At the centre of Glassifier is IDENEL’s patented ALTUM® Peptide technology.

1. Bio-spicule technology

Bio-spicules are microscopic, needle-like structures derived from freshwater sponge.

When applied to the skin, their physical structure allows them to interact with the superficial skin layers.

This interaction is intended to support the delivery of selected skincare ingredients and stimulate a local skin response.

You may feel a prickling sensation during application and some sensitivity afterwards.

Unlike conventional microneedling, the treatment does not involve repeated penetration with a mechanical device.

2. Advanced peptide delivery

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that can perform various functions within skincare formulations.

ALTUM® Peptide technology is designed to combine these ingredients with bio-spicules to support their delivery into the skin.

3. Supporting skin quality over time

Glassifier is designed to support improvements in the appearance and quality of the skin.

Depending on the treatment formulation and individual needs, the intended benefits may include:

  • Smoother, more refined skin texture
  • Improved radiance and hydration
  • A reduction in the appearance of fine lines
  • Improved appearance of uneven skin tone
  • Support for overall skin quality

The aim isn’t to change your facial features or create volume.

It’s to support healthier-looking skin through a carefully selected professional treatment.

What happens during a Glassifier treatment?

Step 1 | Skin Consult and Prep

The skin is assessed and thoroughly cleansed and prepared for treatment.

Step 2 | Personalised formulation

The selected Glassifier formulations are mixed and prepared according to your skin’s requirements.

Step 3 | Bio-spicule application

The treatment is applied using a specific professional technique.

During application, you may experience a prickling, tingling or slightly scratchy sensation as the bio-spicules interact with the skin.

This sensation can vary depending on individual sensitivity and the treatment performed.

Step 4 | Post-treatment care

Following application, appropriate soothing and barrier-supporting products may be used according to the treatment protocol.

How many treatments will I need?

Your treatment plan will depend on your skin concerns, response to treatment, existing skincare routine and any other professional treatments you may be having.

For some clients, Glassifier may be incorporated into a wider skin rejuvenation plan.

For others, a specific treatment protocol may be more appropriate.

The aim is always to create a plan that is effective, realistic and suited to your individual needs.

Is there any downtime?

Glassifier does not involve traditional injections or mechanical microneedling, but it is still an active professional skin treatment.

Some downtime and temporary skin sensitivity should be expected for around 72 hours when the bio-spicules are expelled from the skin.

Following treatment, you may experience:

  • Redness or warmth
  • A prickling or tingling sensation
  • Increased sensitivity when touching the skin
  • Temporary dryness or tightness
  • Mild irritation or visible changes in skin texture

During this period, some clients may continue to experience a prickling sensation, particularly when touching or applying pressure to the treated area.

The intensity and duration of these effects vary.

I recommend allowing a few days for your skin to settle and avoiding scheduling treatment immediately before an important event.

Your skincare routine following treatment is also particularly important.

The aim during the initial recovery period is to minimise irritation, support the skin barrier and protect the skin while it settles.

During the first 24–72 hours keep your skincare simple, avoid alcohol and unnecessary heat inducing activities. Use only the gentle, non-irritating cleanser, hydrator and SPF following your appointment (Glassifier At Home also available!)

Your skin may be more sensitive than usual following treatment. However, makeup can generally be resumed around 24 hours post treatment.

Products containing retinoids, exfoliating acids, strong vitamin C formulations or other potentially irritating ingredients should be temporarily paused.

The timing for restarting these products will depend on your skin’s response and the advice provided following treatment.

Is Glassifier right for me?

At Lilah Aesthetics, I believe the best results come from understanding your skin and choosing treatments with intention.

Not every concern requires an injectable treatment.

Not every client needs an intensive skincare routine.

And not every new technology will be appropriate for everyone.

Glassifier is an exciting addition to the options available for professional skin rejuvenation, offering a different approach to supporting skin quality.

As always, the focus remains on personalised treatment planning, realistic expectations and natural-looking results.
